Sacha Inchi is an oleaginous plant native of the Peruvian amazons also known as the “Mani del Inka” translated to mean “The Inca’s Peanut”.
Its seeds are the most natural source of oil, exceeding in quality all other oleaginous plants that are used for oil production destined for human consumption.
It is the best vegetable source of Omega 3, an essential fatty acid for every individual. It contains an adequate balance of Omega 3 (48%), Omega 6 (35%) and Omega 9 (9%), having the highest content of unsaturated fatty acids and the lowest content of saturated fatty acids.
Omega 6 and Omega 9 are oils that we can easily find in many of our daily meals. On the other hand, Omega 3, wich is indispensable to our organism is the one we lack the most. It is very hard to find a natural resource for it in our environment.
Sacha Inchi even contains Vitamin A, Vitamin E and a high percentage of proteins, which contribute to the oils stability. |
